MAS International Singing Contest 2007
(regulation for the casting of Mai 17th at ALTKIRCH)

1st Article:
* The association «MUSIC' ART SYSTEM» organizes an international singing contest:

a) JUNIOR open to all, age 10 to 15, non-professionals, provided the fact that the application form was duly filled in and signed.

* Parental Authorization is compulsory for under ages. Parents will have to attend their children.

b) ADULT open to all, age 16 and older (without any age limit), non-professionals, provided the fact that the application form was duly filled in and signed.
* Parental Authorization is compulsory for under ages. Parents will have to attend their children.
* The application forms have to be sent before April 30th 2008 to the following address:

5, rue traversière F- 68130 ALTKIRCH

2nd Article:
1) the song can be sung in French or foreign languages, unheard or retaken.
2) It must not last more than 4 minutes.

3rd Article:
* The candidates must provide the accompaniments (CD only).
* The candidates are the only responsible for the broadcast rights and their accompaniments
*only media with good quality music, no singer voice allowed, only choir singers' voices will be allowed.

4th Article:
*The jury, composed of professionals, will make decisions which will be incontestable.
*Warning! No contact with the jury will be allowed neither before nor during the contest, an attempt from the candidates, their family, friends, or someone else, will be punished by an immediate riddance.

*The benchmarks are:
1) Vocal skilfulness: accuracy, rhythmic, voice quality.
2) Attendance: behaviour and charisma.
3) Performance: capability of interpreting and appropriating a song.
* In case of litigation or tie position, the decision of the chairman will be incontestable.

5th Article:
1) The candidates will have to go in for the Casting on Saturday, Mai 17th 2008 at 9 a.m. at “la Halle au Blé” in Altkirch, France.
2) They will have to sing the same song they will sing for the contest (the song they had written in the application form).
3) The jury will choose the finalists to the pro rata of the registrants, with at least 10 JUNIOR candidates and 20 ADULTS candidates, whose names will be revealed during the "Soirée Gala". After that, the order of passage for the Sunday 18th May 2008 grand finale will be drawn lots.
4) A plan will be sent to the candidates before Mai 12th 2008; this plan will round out this regulation.
5) The finalists will compulsorily be present at 1.00 p.m. , on Sunday, May 18th 2008 in the hall of the “ Halle au Blé” in ALTKIRCH (68130, Alsace , FRANCE ). They will have to give their “ticket ordre de passage” (order of passage ticket) to the master of ceremonies when they go on stage.
6) Lateness or non-attendance will be eliminatory.

6th Article:
* The ADULT winner's prizes are:
1) A recording of a 4 tracks CD (2 days of recording) in the « Studio Blue Bird » digital studio (lodging and meal included).
2) A Hi-fi system.
3) A web page on our website for 1 year. (Send us your biography before June 15th 2008 , if you don't you will lose this prize).
4) An invitation to sing on “Music' Art System” stage on June, 21st 2008 at “la fête de la musique” in ALTKIRCH.
*The 2nd and 3rd ADULT laureates will each win:
1) A professional microphone
2) A web page on our website for 1 year. (Send us your biography before June 15th 2008 , if you don't you will lose this prize).
3) An invitation to sing “Music' Art System” stage on June, 21st 2008 at “la fête de la musique” in ALTKIRCH. (Other prizes can be added to those named above)

*The JUNIOR winner will win:

1) A 2 tracks-cd recording (1 day of recording) in "Studio Blue Bird) 32-tracks digital recording studio.

2) A web-page on our website( provided that we received the winner's biography before June 15th 2008).

3) An invitation to sing on Music' Art System's stage at "La Fête de la Musique" on June 21st 2008, in Altkirch.

* The Second and the Third JUNIOR laureate:

1) A DVD-DIVX Player.

2) A web-page on our website for 1 year (provided that we received their biography before June 15th 2008).

7th Article:
Music' Art System does not take charge of the living and travel expenses The cost of the registration is 20 euros to cover the administrative costs
No payback demand will be accepted.
Filling in and sending a registration form to take part in this contest, involve the acceptance without reserve of this regulation.
The winner will not be allowed to take part of the contest the following year, but will be invited by the organizers.

8th Article:
MUSIC' ART SYSTEM reserves the right to cancel this contest if the number of candidates is not sufficient or in case of force majeure.
In case of cancellation by Music' Art System (and only in that case!), the candidates who will already have paid their registration will be integrally paid back.
MUSIC' ART SYSTEM reserves the right to use every photograph or record of any sort which could be used for the press, radio, television, internet etc.

9th Article:
If for any organisation or coherency reason, this regulation should be modified, the candidates would be advised of the change.

The members of MUSIC'ART SYSTEM and their relatives cannot take part in this singing contest
